City utilizes social networking sites to keep citizens informed
Auburn, Ala. – Citizens looking to stay up-to-date on the latest news and announcements from the City of Auburn have two new ways to stay informed. Mayor Bill Ham, Jr. commented, “It is important for us to provide news and information in a way that reaches all of our citizens. The City’s website and e-Notifier email notification system continue to offer a wealth of knowledge for citizens. These new social networking tools are the latest in our continued efforts to reach out to our citizens and keep them informed of what is going on in their city.” Citizens may continue to receive their updates via the e-Notifier, the city’s email subscription service providing free email notifications of press releases, meeting packet availability, Open Line announcements, trash pick-up schedule reminders, Library events, and much more. Auburn, Ala. – The City of Auburn and the Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) held a public involvement meeting for citizens regarding the Moores Mill (Interstate) Bridge Project on Thursday, August 20. Alternate designs for the project and a public comment sheet from the meeting are available for review on the City of Auburn’s website at www.auburnalabama.org/pw/status.asp. A copy of the designs and comment sheets are also available at the City of Auburn Public Works Department, located in the Development Services Building of the Douglas J. Watson Municipal Complex on Ross Street. Citizens are encouraged to view the designs and submit a comment sheet. Comments may be submitted by email to webpw@auburnalabama.org or by regular mail to:
