The Scooter Groove

February 19, 2009 Auburn, Ribbon Cutting, Rumors Comments Off

Here is the low-down with pics from The Scooter Store ribbon cutting.

A good crowd was on hand for the ribbon cutting of the new scooter retail store on Opelika Road in Auburn, AL near Country’s Barbecue. They actually opened their doors back around Thanksgiving of 2008 and have been selling scooters since then. With the revelation that Auburn University is going to possibly forbid freshmen from having cars it appears that The Scooter Store may have found a place in the Auburn Market. Even with gas prices currently down from record highs American’s are still pursuing cheaper means of travel which may put more than freshmen on these fuel efficient rides as well.

Not sure if a scooter is for you? Well, One thing is for sure, these aren’t grandma’s scooters. With some models boasting 100mph on the speedometer these machines are made for today. The Auburn store carries what they believe to be the top three brands in scooter circles. Genuine, Kymco & SYM are all in stock with many different models and price ranges to choose from. At the ribbon cutting the lowest priced scooter was the Kymco Agility 50 at $2100 out the door. All the prices listed on the scooters are said to be out the door prices by including tax, title and other costs.

The store has a youthful feel while at the same time pushing high quality. They have the ability to service all models that they sell with an in house service department. The Scooter store also carries a lot of accessories and apparel that will complete the experience and keep you safe. Please enjoy the pictures below from the ribbon cutting held on February 19th, 2008 at their Auburn location located at 1027-B Opelika Road.
