Robert Kull GmbH, parent company of Kull’s Auburn location, was originally founded in 1936 in the City of Stuttgart, Germany. Destroyed in WWII, the factory was rebuilt outside Stuttgart in Remshalden and the company continued its long-standing tradition of excellence in die casting. The company originally gained notoriety for its Spaetzlepress, a hand-operated pasta press used to make Swabian Spaetzle. Today, the company’s business focuses primarily on automotive uses, employing 35 people at its headquarters in Germany.

“We are extremely grateful for the sublease arrangement with Schmid and the support we received from the team at the City of Auburn. Because of the relative small size of our company, our new US venture would not have been possible without the cooperation of Schmid and the City,” commented Andreas Huebner, President and Owner of Robert Kull GmbH. “We look forward to locating in Auburn and enjoying its many traditions, including Auburn football.”

Commenting on the announcement, Mayor Bill Ham, Jr. said, “We are extremely pleased with Kull’s decision to locate in Auburn. Not only will they provide support to one of our existing industries, but we look forward to seeing Kull grow their business in the US market and possibly expand in Auburn in the future.”
