Opelika City Council to hold hearing on proposed budget

The Opelika City Council will hold a public hearing on a $252,000 federal grant proposed budget and could vote on the next step in the delayed Frederick Road project during today’s work session and meeting.
A public hearing on fiscal year 2009 budget for the Community Development Block Grant will be held during the city council’s regular meeting.
The proposed CDBG budget divisions and projects, according to a document provided by the city, includes:
(6/17) Work session at 6:30 p.m., immediately followed by its regular meeting at 7 p.m. Both will be held tonight in the council chambers at City Hall, 204 S. 7th St., and are open to the public.
